The meeting of the Committee for International Telecommunication Union Policy (Com-ITU) of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) takes place on 4-6 September 2019 in Vilnius. The plenary meeting of Com-ITU deals with issues related to the outcomes of the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the preparations of CEPT for an extraordinary ITU Council session in September, sessions of ITU Council workgroups, the ITU Telecom World 2019 event, which will be held in September in Hungary, as well as other significant ITU events, during which the general position of CEPT countries shall be introduced.
The meeting of the Project Team on Strategic ITU-T Issues (PT ITU-T) is also taking place these days, it is attended by all Com-ITU member states. The relevant issues of ITU standardisation sector are discussed in the course thereof and the preparations for ITU World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly in 2020 (WTSA-20) are carried out.
