Electronic communications experts from Kosovo and the World Bank are visiting RRT

On 26-27 February 2018 the experts from the Ministry of Economic Development of Kosovo, Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications ARKEP and the World Bank are paying a study visit to the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania RRT. The aim of the visit is to gain the experience of RRT and its best practice in the implementation of the national spectrum monitoring system in Lithuania.

During the study visit, RRT experts will make an overview of fixed monitoring station network and infrastructure in Lithuania, introduce mobile monitoring stations available in RRT, and share their experience in supervision of mobile networks in Lithuania. Colleagues from Kosovo and the World Bank will also participate in practical demonstration of fixed and mobile monitoring stations and will be able to discuss and clarify any topical issues as relates to the development of spectrum monitoring network.

This visit is part of the World Bank’s Kosovo Digital Economy (KODE) Project preparation. One of the activities planned under this project is to help Kosovo to implement the national spectrum monitoring system, currently missing, to increase the quality of mobile broadband.
