Signalling point codes

The Rules for exchange of inter-network numbers between the providers of public telephone communication networks and/or public telephone communication services regulate the procedure and conditions for the use and exchange of inter-network numbers between telecommunications operators and/or service providers.

An inter-network number means a sequence of digits, allowing for unique identification of the network of destination and/or origination of the call or the telecommunications operators and/or telecommunications service providers at the point of exchange of inter-network numbers.

An point of interconnection of inter-network numbers means the point of interconnection of telecommunication networks, described in the telecommunication networks interconnection agreement.

The rules for the assignment and use of international signaling point codes, national signaling point codes, public mobile telephone communication network codes, public data communication network identification codes and identification numbers of payment cards, issued by service providers regulate the code usage conditions and the rules for granting and cancellation of the rights to use the codes.

The most widely used definitions:

National signaling point code (NSPC) means the code, identifying the exchange of public telephone communication network of a public telephone communication networks operator and/or service provider on the national level.

The identification number of payment cards, issued by a service provider means the identification number of a telecommunications operators and/or service providers, identifying the series of identification modules (SIM cards) of the recipient of telecommunication services or other cards, used for management, accounting, etc. of the used services.

Signaling national network code (SANC) means the code, assigned by the International Telecommunications Union for identification of the state, in which the public telephone communications network operator and/or service provider, whose public telephone communications network exchange is identified by ISPC is operating.

International signaling point code (ISPC) means the code, identifying the exchange of public telephone communication network of a public telephone communication networks operator and/or service provider on the international level.
Public data communication network identification code (DNIC) means the code, identifying the network of public data communication network operator and/or service provider.

Public data communication network country code (DCC) means the code, assigned by the International Telecommunications Union for identification of the country in which the public data communication network operator and/or service provider is operating.

Public mobile telephone communications network code (MNC) means the code, identifying the network of the public mobile telephone communications operator and/or service provider.

Public mobile telephone communications network country code (MCC) means the code, assigned by the International Telecommunications Union for identification of the country, in which the public mobile telephone communications network operator and/or service provider is operating.
