Purpose of time stamps
According to the eIDAS Regulation – electronic time stamp means data in electronic form which binds other data in electronic form to a particular time establishing evidence that the latter data existed at that time.
Electronic time stamps facilitate validation of electronic signature after the expiry of qualified certificate for electronic signature.
Qualified services of creation of electronic time stamps can only be provided by authorised qualified trust service providers the list whereof is available at www.elektroninisparasas.lt/EN.
