An electronic seal means data in electronic form, which is attached to or logically associated with other data in electronic form to ensure the latter’s origin and integrity, in other words, it is a means used to ensure the authenticity of electronic data which can be obtained by a legal person only (for example, to certify invoices). A certificate for electronic seal means an electronic attestation that links electronic seal validation data to a legal person and confirms the name of that person.
Qualified certificates for electronic seal can only be created by authorised qualified trust service providers the list whereof is available at www.elektroninisparasas.lt/EN
