Validity of electronic signature and electronic seal

Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS) stipulates that verification of electronic signature and electronic seal may be carried out by the provider of electronic signature and electronic seal validation service. This legislation specifies which components of a qualified electronic signature should be assessed by the relying party carrying out the validation – the service provider. To ensure system reliability and reliance of persons on the result of verification (validation) of electronic signature and electronic seal, the service provider shall be reliable.

Qualified services of validation of electronic signature and electronic seal can only be provided by authorised qualified trust service providers the list whereof is available at www.elektroninisparasas.lt/EN.
